Two new TERRE DAVIS italian clay courts have been completed at the Sydney Olympic site at Homebush – home of Tennis NSW. As you can see, they are beautiful.
The two previous courts, one being a synthetic grass clay court, were considered unsatisfactory for player development purposes.
The synthetic clay court required the removal of the carpet and both courts needed to be excavated entirely. The subgrade of the courts had to be redone. Proper drainage was installed before the rebuilding process could begin. This is really important.
As you can see from the photos, we now have two magnificent TERRE DAVIS clay courts at Homebush for the training of the juniors in New South Wales.
